The Unification Day speech was a global address delivered by an authorized human representative of the Galactic Xithri Authority to the people of Earth on Unification Day, following the United Nations of Earth's military surrender to the Authority. The speech marked the formal integration of Earth into the Authority.
Transcript
Friends. Fellow representatives of humanity.
I stand before you today to announce the formal integration of our beloved planet into the Galactic Xithri Authority. As of today, we are a part of the Authority, with all the responsibilities and privileges that this entails.
The bloodshed has ended. Even now, the Authority's peacekeepers are ensuring a smooth transition of control over our planet's remaining holdouts so that they may finally bring us into a better tomorrow. These alien creatures from beyond the stars are here to help us, to elevate us to a greater purpose!
For far too long, we have been divided by borders that meant nothing, waging wars on one another over resources that belong to us all. Today our struggle ends. The Authority is here to bring us peace and prosperity, to unite us under a common banner, to give us purpose where previously there was chaos.
Truly, humanity finally takes its rightful place... amongst the stars.
